Week 4 Reflection

Numeracy

In numeracy we have been learning to how to do our doubles and half it was so fun and cool doing maths with the number board. We had to count  buckboards  from the number  that we had chosen.

Literacy

Writing

 In writing we wrote an newspaper article from Charlotte's Web. We had to highlight words in a newspaper stating who, what, when, where and why. Then we wrote our own story, it was fun because we got to write a cool story.

In literacy we learnt about the character we wrote a story about a favorite character and my favorite was Charlotte the spider from Charlotte's web it was fun we did a picture in our book as well.

In Numerracy we learnt how to add tens and ones we used rods to help. Orange was ten and ones were all the other colours.

This week in literacy we have been reading Charlotte’s web. We had to research spiders using bubbl.us. I really enjoyed finding out about spiders I was surprised that spiders carry their eggs sacs on their backs or in their mouths. Food

 

Their usual food is insects and other spiders but some of the larger spiders  have been seen to eat other small animals such as millipedes, woodlice (slaters), and even small lizards, frogs, and birds. But one kind of food that spiders normally do not eat are plants.

What do spiders look like.

Spiders have a head and an abdomen (belly). They have 8 legs and up to 8 eyes.Spiders have tiny hairs and claws on their legs that help them feel.

In topic we are learning about the Anzacs. I made a slideshow about the Grey Angels who were the nurses who were taking care of the soldiers in the war.

In Numeracy we have been learning how to read clocks. We are doing o'clocks, half past, quarter to and quarter past. I found that the o'clock and half past times were easy but the quarter to and quarter past times were a lot harder then I thought it would be.

Reflection T2 W1

This week we started barqer. We earn dollars for our work I have earned $321 this week. I have saved $50 for a party with my friends.

In topic we are learning about The Anzacs. . I made a slideshow to show my answers about The Anzac.

In literacy we are reading Charlotte's web. We are writing similes about Zukermans  barn.
